Tilted Layers
The coast of northern California is rocky with lots of cliffs formed in sedimentary layers. While most are horizontal, there are some where the layers are now tilted at an angle. This rocky outcrop at Montana De Oro is an extreme example of the rocks shifting as the textonic plates have moved. While horizontal on the left, the layers to the right are almost vertical.
