Tuckup Canyon Sunset

A blaze of pink and gold fills the sky as the sunset at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Photography Tip: This image is a high-dynamic range composite that I built using Adobe Photoshop CC's Merge to HDR Pro toolset and then fine-tuned in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. One of the secrets to realistic HDR photos are strong dark shadows. Dark shadows create mystery and depth. See http://bit.ly/LTfO0n for my video tutorial on how I use Photoshop and Lightroom together to make this kind of photograph I will be leading an Autumn in Yellowstone National Park Photography Workshop this September with local expert Dr. Jim Halfpenny. Gorgeous sunsets are on the agenda! This will be a small group field photography experience with lots of hands-on instruction.
